ALL NEW Barret Jackson Collector Series ROUSH Mustang for 2010
The Barrett-Jackson ROUSH Mustang package starts with a special smoking hot Planet Color Series paint. Add in an extensive front, rear and side body kit, 20" chrome alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance Cooper RS3 tires and a lowered suspension, and your looking at one of the meanest and freshest interpretations of the mustang you will ever find. br>
"We wanted to give customers the opportunity to enjoy the collectability of a very limited edition series of performance cars but still be able to customize it," noted Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. "By teaming with Team Planet Color, we have merged both to give serious enthusiasts litterally the best of both worlds".br>
The deep, lush base coat and aggressive body modifications will surely inspire passion-but it's whats under the hood that will really leave other cars in the dust. Starting with the R2300 ROUSHcharger 4.6 Liter high-performance V8 the cars feature custom intake manifolds, intercoolers and radiators, cold air induction, a thoroughly revised fuel system, an upgrade clutch and way more-enough to crank up the power to a rock solid 540hp and a stump pulling 510 ft/lb of torque. That is nearly 230 more horsepower than a stock Mustang GT. This will be a one year only engine.br>
But to make these ROUSH Mustangs extra special, Barrett-Jackson collaborated with the high-performance shop to come up with a custom interior package and plenty of unique Barrett-Jackson badges. The front seats, upholstered in black sport leather and black suede, feature a contrasting red Barrett-Jackson logo, while the interior also gets an individually painted serial badge indentifing the sequence number. Outside, the rear dome and side stripes get the unique script Barrett-Jackson logo, too, and if you pop the hood, you'll find a serialized Barrett-Jackson badge parked not far from the ROUSH plaque signed by the engine builder.br>
To say that this Barrett-Jackson Roush Mustang is something special is something of an understatement. With just 25 planned for 2010 and 2011, they will find their way into garages as fast as their Supercharged V8s will get them there.

With the addition of the intercooled ROUSHchargerTM the 427R Mustang has 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, plenty of power to quickly get up to speed on the straightaways. The cooling system has been enhanced with a black bar high flow front grille and radiator cooling shields. There is a functional strut tower brace under the hood to help strengthen the chassis and decrease unwanted twisting.
The suspension system has been completely revamped to easily manage the twists and turns of a road course. The ROUSH 427R suspension includes adjustable front and rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear stabilization bars, front and rear jounce bumpers and adjustable camber/caster plates.
To whoa this pony down ROUSH adds 6-piston front calipers with 14-inch, two-piece slotted front rotors and slotted rear rotors. The brake pads are replaced with high-performance racing quality versions, and the new ROUSH brake cooling system and high temperature brake fluid will ensure that the brakes will be ready when you need them the most.
The ROUSH three-piece aerobody kit gives the car a menacing look as it roars past the other cars on the track, and consists of a front fascia, front chin spoiler and hood scoop. The car rides on 18-inch forged chrome wheels and mounted to ultra-performance tires for maximum grip on the racetrack. The functional hood pins, unique graphics and badging add to the overall styling of the car.
Inside the cockpit the driver will immediately notice the addition of the new three-gauge dash pod with engine oil temperature, coolent temperature and a boost gauge. A shift light has also been integrated into this dash pod as well. The ROUSH sport leather seating, short throw shifter with retro-style ball, and four-piece performance pedal kit help to round out the interior styling.
